Russian LCV market kept the sixth place in Europe in 2022

Russian LCV market, which showed almost two-fold drop the previous year, nevertheless kept the sixth place in the European ranking. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), sales of light commercial vehicles in Europe in 2022 fell by 21.4% to 1 million 086 thousand 465 units. France became the leader among European countries by sales of LCVs up to 3.5 tons, where this segment was 347,069 vehicles (-19.5%).

The second place is occupied by the UK with 282,139 sold cars (-20.6%), and the third place is taken by Germany, the LCV market of which was 231,290 units (-13%). Italy is the next, where 161,094 light commercial vehicles were sold (-12.3%). Spain still finishes the top-five, the result of which was 119,619 cars (-21.3%). If Russia is taken into account when considering the European LCV market, then our country took the sixth place in the European championship. At the end of 2022, 75,220 light commercial vehicles were purchased in Russia, which is 47.8% lower than a year ago, experts of AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.
