Haval Jolion became the most popular car in Moscow in 2022

Last year, the leader changed in the car market of the Russian capital. According to experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, in 2022, among new cars, residents of Moscow gave the greatest preference to Haval Jolion crossover. So, for the whole year they purchased 4627 units of model - 3.7 times more than in 2021. Two more "Chinese" crossovers Geely Coolray (4095 units) and Chery Tiggo 7 PRO (3934 units, including Tiggo 7) are the next in the ranking, the results of which increased 3.1 times and 2.7 times, respectively. In fourth place it was the capital's leader in 2021 - Kia Rio family of cars.

This time it was sold 3446 units, which is 74% lower than a year before. Volkswagen Polo liftback rounded out the top five with 2,820 vehicles (-68%). In addition to them, TOP-10 of the most popular models among Muscovites included: Hyundai Solaris sedan (2677 units; -64%), Chery Tiggo 4 crossovers (2651 units; +84%), Nissan Qashqai (2571 units; -37 %), Hyundai Creta (2392 units; -69%) and Skoda Rapid liftback (2342 units; -70%). In total, according to the results of 2022, 97,550 new passenger cars were purchased in Moscow, which is 56% lower than in 2021.
