Moskvich Automobile Plant expanded its dealer network to 50 car dealerships

Moscow Automobile Plant "Moskvich" continues to expand the geography of its presence. The company has identified 20 more dealer centers in 12 Russian cities: Volgograd, Voronezh, Kazan, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Orenburg, Perm, Samara, Saratov, Stavropol, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk. Shipments of cars to these cities will begin in February, the press service of AZ Moskvich reports. Now Moskvich dealer network is represented by 52 sales and service points in 23 regional centers. As noted, interest in the Moskvich model range is growing, so the geography of the brand's presence will expand at the first stage. From January 30 to February 10, applications for obtaining the status of official dealer in Sochi and Simferopol will be accepted.

The search for partners in Moscow will also resume. Recall that at the end of December 2022, Moskvich cars went on sale. Moskvich 3 compact crossover costs 1.97 million rubles, Moskvich 3e electric crossover costs 3.5 million rubles. It is planned that in 2023 at least 50,000 cars will be assembled at the plant using the SKD technology, including 10,000 with an electric engine, in 2024 - at least 100,000 cars, including 20,000 with an electric engine. At the same time, 50% of this volume will be produced using SKD technology, other 50% - using CKD technology. As part of cooperation between AZ Moskvich and its technological partner KAMAZ PJSC, Plant Development Strategy was developed for a period of up to 6 years. So, at the first stage, in 2023-2024, the production of "Moskvich" will go on the technology of SKD with a gradual increase in the share of localization.

At the second stage, from 2024, in parallel with SKD, CKD will begin, and the level of localization will increase by attracting a wider pool of local suppliers with completely Russian components (body parts, power controls, brake systems, etc.). At the third stage, Moskvich will begin production of a Russian electric car from the main Russian components on its own universal platform (electric engine, batteries, gearbox).
