Russian plant Haval has produced the 100,000th vehicle since the start of production in June 2019. The anniversary was the compact crossover Haval Jolion in the color "magma red" with all-wheel drive, the press service of the automaker reports. As noted, Haval is the first and to date the only Chinese car brand that has signed a SPIC (special investment contract) with the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to localize production in Russia.

The company has committed itself to the localization of key components, including engines and gearboxes. According to Zhang Junxue, President of Haval in Russia, new Haval model will be introduced to the Russian market in the first half of 2023, but did not disclose details about it. Recall that at present, Haval lineup in the Russian market includes Jolion compact crossover, updated F7 crossovers and the F7x cross-coupe, Dargo mid-size crossover, and H9 frame SUV, which are produced at the company's plant in the Tula region. At the end of 2022, 34,128 Haval cars were purchased in Russia, which is 7.1% lower than a year ago, experts of AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

The most popular Haval model in the Russian market last year was Jolion compact crossover with 17,447 vehicles (+94.8%). The second place was taken by crossover Haval F7, which was chosen by 7444 buyers (-39.8%). The third result was shown by coupe-crossover Haval F7x – 5305 sold cars (-47.8%). Frame SUV Haval H9 found 2174 owners - 31.7% lower than a year before. The mid-size crossover Haval Dargo, which entered the Russian market in June 2022, sold 1,736 units by the end of the year. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Haval Company presented in Russia a new special version of Dargo X car with an extended set of off-road characteristics.
