AVTOVAZ started the sales of upgraded commercial pickup trucks based on LADA Niva Legend, produced by a subsidiary of PSA VIS-AVTO JSC. The maximum carrying capacity of vehicles has been increased by 185 kg, while the modification with a double cab and an onboard platform without a superstructure has the highest carrying capacity - 800 kg, the press service of the automaker reports. As noted, the increase in carrying capacity was made thanks to the operating special modifications of pickup trucks for firefighters and rescuers experience.

These vehicles are working constantly with a load of 80 - 100%, therefore, for pickups based on LADA Niva Legend, the body was strengthened, and the design of the cabin connection with the semi-frame was improved. Today, the range of pickups based on LADA Niva Legend includes both 2-seater and 5-seater pickups, vehicles with fiberglass kung, isothermal vans, refrigerators, technical assistance vehicles, versions for dirt roads - more than 30 different configurations with a cargo compartment volume from 1 to 3.5 m3 and load capacity from 640 to 800 kg. The cost of a basic commercial pickup truck LADA Niva Legend is from 1 million 153 thousand 400 rubles. Under the bonnet of LADA Niva Legend, a 1.7-liter gasoline engine is installed, developing 83 hp and 129 Nm of torque. The vehicle is equipped with a permanent all-wheel drive system with the ability to lock the center differential and switch on a reduction gear range.

It was created on the basis of the three-door SUV LADA Niva Legend, retaining its main advantages - a ground clearance of 240 mm, all-wheel drive with the ability to lock the center differential and engage a reduction gear.
