GAC is preparing new crossovers and minivans for Russia

Chinese automaker GAC plans to update the model line in Russia and is preparing three new items for our country at once. As Avto.ru magazine was told at the Russian representative office of GAC Motor, a large new-generation GAC GS8 crossover should go on sale in the spring. By autumn, the second generation GN8 minivan is expected. It should be noted that Russian dealers already supply both of these models under the parallel import scheme. Finally, at the beginning of 2024, GAC GS3 crossover will appear in our country. This is a new model that should replace GS5 crossover in the Russian market. The latter was the most affordable GAC model in our country. At the end of 2022, 487 GAC cars were purchased in Russia, which is 45% lower than a year ago, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.
