Mazda CX-9 crossover of Japanese assembly appeared in Russia

A major Russian dealer put up for sale a 2022 Mazda CX-9 crossover shipped from Japan. The model is offered in the High Plus configuration at a price of 5.5 million rubles, the Autonews.ru portal writes. Under the bonnet of the car there is a non-alternative 2.5-liter engine with a capacity of 231 hp (420 Nm), which works in combination with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The crossover accelerates to "hundreds" for 8.6 seconds, while the maximum speed is limited to 210 km / h. Mazda CX-9 is equipped with a surround view camera system, front and rear parking sensors, a lane control system, rain and light sensors, as well as a blind spot monitoring system and traffic sign recognition. Cruise control, adaptive lighting system and driver fatigue sensor are responsible for comfortable driving. The temperature in the cabin is regulated by 2-zone climate control.

There are functions for heating the front and rear seats, as well as a heated steering wheel. The car supports CarPlay and Android Auto. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", announcements about the sale of a new Mazda CX-60 crossover, which is not officially presented in our country, appeared on Russian classifieds. The price of the model ranges from 4 million to 5 million 640 thousand rubles. Recall that in early November, Mazda announced its withdrawal from the Russian market and the transfer to the Sollers group of its share in a parity joint venture for the production of Japanese brand cars at the Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus plant in Vladivostok. The deal was made for a symbolic cost of 1 euro and includes an option for the Japanese automaker to buy out a stake in the joint venture for the next 3 years.

In connection with the withdrawal from the Russian market and the transfer of a share in the business, Mazda Motor suffered a loss of 12 billion yen (82 million dollars). Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus produced Mazda CX-9 full-size crossover, Mazda CX-5 crossover and Mazda6 sedan. In turn, Sollers said that the company had already developed a plan to restart the plant in Vladivostok for the production of cars of other brands.
