In Russia there will be a low-cost crossover Jetta VS5 from China

New Chinese crossover Jetta VS5 will appear in Russia, which will be available in two trim levels - Enjoyment and Glory - worth 1.99 million and 2.1 million rubles, respectively. Maxim Vasiliev, "Avilon. Volkswagen" sales manager, informed Rossiyskaya Gazeta about the delivery of first 50 such cars in February. Recall that Jetta is not a model, but a separate low-cost brand in China.

Inexpensive cars are produced by the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture. Jetta VS5 is practically a twin of European Skoda Karoq and Seat Ateca, but a little simpler in finishing materials and equipment. The length of the car is 4419 mm, width - 1841 mm, height - 1616 mm. The wheelbase is 2630 mm. Under the bonnet of Jetta VS5, a non-alternative 1.4 TSI turbo engine with a capacity of 150 hp is installed, which works in combination with a 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The equipment of the model includes adaptive cruise control, climate system, power seats, multimedia with a large touchscreen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Jetta VA3 will appear in Russia - this is a converted Volkswagen Jetta sedan for China, which has nothing to do with the well-known Jetta in Russia. In February, dealer will receive the first 200 of 600 cars of this model, which will cost from 1.69 to 1.84 million, depending on the configuration.
