AVTOVAZ received 1.6 billion rubles of net profit under IFRS in 2022

In 2022, AVTOVAZ net profit under IFRS was 1.6 billion rubles. This was announced by AVTOVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, by noting that the profit will allow the company to " develop confidently the production program and implement the plans set by the Board of Directors." At the same time, according to him, the total debt of AVTOVAZ to creditors in 2022 grew from about 100 billion rubles to 120 billion rubles. The base creditor of the automaker is VTB, among the creditors there is also Sberbank, writes the Interfax agency.

As Mr. Sokolov noted, the dynamics of AVTOVAZ's debts will, in particular, depend on the investment program and the speed of its implementation. The volume of investments for 2023 is planned at the level of about 40 billion rubles. The head of AVTOVAZ did not rule out that the group's debt would increase in the near future. “For example, at the end of 2022, we took an additional loan of about 5 billion rubles at the Industrial Development Fund for the development of constant velocity joints (CV joints) in order to achieve technological sovereignty in the chassis area,” he said. Recall that in 2022, AVTOVAZ sold 188,645 LADA cars in the Russian market, which is 46.2% lower than a year ago, according to its own data.

In addition, during 2022, AVTOVAZ kept the number of export countries - these are 17 countries, to the markets of which 17,246 LADA cars were delivered (-52%). According to the plan approved by the Board of Directors, AVTOVAZ should produce 401.6 thousand vehicles in 2023.
