So, at the end of 2019, there were a little more than 30 thousand car-sharing cars in the Russian capital. The Moscow car-sharing fleet has developed very rapidly during the past few years.
Sales of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in Russia in December fell by 50.2% to 64,072 vehicles. According to the results of all 2022, the Russian car market was 687,370 cars (-58.8%), according to the data of the Association of European Businesses. Meanwhile, as the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, the Russian market volume of new cars in December was 56745 units, which is 58% lower in compare with the same month of the previous year. At the same time, experts noted that in relation to November 2022, the Russian car market showed an increase of 10%.
At the end of 2022, 626,281 passenger cars were purchased in Russia, which is 58.7% lower than a year before. Leadership in the market is held by the domestic brand LADA – Russians purchased 174,688 of these cars the previous year (-48.2%). Leadership among foreign cars was retained by Kia, whose result was 65,691 cars (-67%). The third place in the sales ranking was occupied by Hyundai with 54,017 purchased cars (-66%). This is followed by Renault, the models of which were chosen by 40,844 buyers (-68.7%). Chery cars were sold in the amount of 39,256 units, which is 2% lower than the previous year. The TOP-10 of leaders of the Russian car market in 2022 also included Haval (34128 units, -7.1%), Toyota (28596 units, -70.1%), Geely (26694 units, +8.4%) ), Skoda (20354 units, -76.9%) and Volkswagen (19614 units, -77.2%).
