    Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the passenger car market in Russia. It covered both new cars, and used ones, and in all federal districts of the country. According to the survey, for the year (from November of 2017 to October of 2018), 48 cars were sold per one thousand Russians, incl. 11 new cars and 37 used ones.



TOP-10 of the most popular cars in Russia in 2022


At the end of 2022, the most popular model in Russia was LADA Granta, which was chosen by 87,982 buyers (-22% by 2021). The second result was shown by LADA Vesta (32,790 units, -71.2%), which was the market leader a year before. The third place was taken by Kia Rio with 23,909 cars, which is 69.8% lower in compare with the previous year, the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" reported with the reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. The fourth place is occupied by LADA Niva Travel SUV, which sold 19,389 units (-25%). Demand for crossover Chery Tiggo 7 PRO grew by 55.7% to 19,292 cars (including Tiggo 7). This is followed by two Hyundai models – Solaris sedan (19,038 units, -67.8%) and Creta crossover (18,886 units, -70.7%). Crossover Haval Jolion found 17447 owners, which is 94.8% higher than a year ago. LADA Niva Legend SUV was purchased in the amount of 16,117 units, which is 35.6% lower than in 2021. The crossover Renault Duster finishes the top-10 of the most popular models in Russia with 13,468 cars (-67.3%).
