Import of right-hand drive cars to Russia grew by 43%

For 11 months of 2022, 154,000 right-hand drive cars were imported into our country. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with the reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *, it is 43% higher than the result for the same period of the previous year (108 thousand units).

From January to November, the largest number of "right-hand drive" cars of Toyota brand were imported - 68.7 thousand units. This is almost 45% of the total. Honda is the second one by this indicator (43.2 thousand units), which accounts for 28%. The third place was taken by Nissan (15.5 thousand units; 10%). The next six positions are also occupied by Japanese brands (Subaru, Suzuki, Mazda, Daihatsu, Mitsubishi, Lexus). "Europeans" with the right steering wheel are behind them: BMW (694 units), Volkswagen (597 units), Mercedes-Benz (444 units), Audi (169 units).

The results of other brands were less than 100 units. In general, during the reporting period, the right-hand drive cars of 40 different brands were imported into Russia.
