According to the results of November 2022, 30,800 new crossovers and SUVs were purchased in Russia, which accounted for 59.8% of the total volume of the passenger car market, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. As a result, the market share of the SUV segment has set a new record.
Recall that since April, this figure began to decrease gradually, and in August, for the first time in a long time, it fell below the “psychological” mark, by reaching 49.5%. But since September, the share of SUVs began to grow again, almost reaching 60% in November. Most often, in the last month of autumn, the residents of the Russian Federation purchased SUVs of the domestic brand LADA - 6132 new SUVs. Three Chinese brands at once - Chery (5,391 units), Haval (4,467 units) and Geely (3,350 units) are the next in the ranking. TOP-5 is finished by the Korean Kia, the crossovers of which were purchased in the amount of 1961 units.
