Aurus plans to produce 200 Komendant SUVs in 2023

Russian automaker Aurus plans to produce 200 Komendant SUVs in 2023. This was reported to the TASS agency in the press service of the company, by specifying that this is the total number, which includes cars produced at the Aurus plant in the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as at the production site of FSUE NAMI. In the future, Aurus plans to increase the production volumes in accordance with the business plan of the project. Recall that the mass production of the new luxury SUV AurusKomendant started at the plant in the Alabuga SEZ at the end of November.

The novelty is already available for pre-order at Russian dealers and should go on sale in the first quarter of 2023 at a price of 33.7 million rubles. Created on a single modular platform, like all Aurus cars, the new crossover features by shorter overhangs and a wheelbase in compare with Senat sedan, which added to its maneuverability and controllability. At the same time, Aurus Komendant received an adaptive air suspension that provides optimal ground clearance for each type of road surface (from 200 to 260 mm).

Under the bonnet of Aurus Komendant there is a 4.4-liter V8 Twin-turbo engine with 598 hp and 880 Nm of torque, which works in conjunction with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. With such a power unit, acceleration of the SUV to "hundreds" takes 6.5 seconds, and the maximum speed is 220 km / h.
