AVTOVAZ plans to produce over 400,000 vehicles in 2023

The Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ approved the company's production plan for 2023 of 401.6 thousand vehicles. This was reported in the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Recall that since May 2022, the Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ has been headed by Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov. According to him, the key tasks of AVTOVAZ for 2023 are the expansion of the model range and the increase in production volumes. The special attention subject on the part of the state will be the increase in the level of availability of cars and control over pricing. According to the goals announced by the Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ, during 2023 the company will launch serial production of the restyled LADA Vesta and resume the production of LADA Largus at the site in Togliatti.

At the end of the year, AvtoVAZ will produce a pilot lot of e-Largus electric vans at the production site in Izhevsk. In 2023, AVTOVAZ aims to keep a share of about 40% of the Russian automotive market, as well as restart export sales. Recall that in early June AVTOVAZ resumed the production of a simplified LADA Granta, in mid-July a three-door SUV LADA Niva Legend in a special configuration returned to the assembly line, and a month later the production of Niva Travel model was resumed. In March of the next year, the production of the updated LADA Vesta will resume, and its production will be transferred from the LADA Izhevsk enterprise to the main AVTOVAZ site in Togliatti - to line B0. In addition, LADA Largus station wagon should return to service in 2023.

But AVTOVAZ decided to abandon the production of LADA XRAY hatchback due to its heavy dependence on foreign components. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, the Board of Directors of AVTOVAZ approved the creation of two new LADA models - a separate family of the "B" segment on the global platform, the production of which should begin at the end of 2024, as well as a crossover on the LADA Vesta platform, the release of which is scheduled for the end of 2025 of the year.
