Dealers said that new foreign cars will be enough for another month

There are no more than 20-30 thousand new cars of foreign brands left in the warehouses of Russian car dealers. This was reported in the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers, by noting that there are almost no middle price models as Kia, Hyundai, Toyota, Renault, and Volkswagen among them, mainly expensive Chinese cars. Based on current sales volumes, the current inventory will be enough for a maximum of one month.

“Throughout the year, the market was under the influence of a shortage, a shortage was recorded for most car brands, with the exception of the segment of Chinese brand cars, which will definitely show the significant growth by the end of the year,” says Alexei Starikov, Deputy General Director of Sales of New Cars at AVILON AG.

According to Denis Migal, General Director of the Fresh Auto automotive marketplace, despite the fact that almost all Russian car dealers have set up deliveries of new cars through parallel imports, their volume is not enough to cover the needs of the market. The fact is that mainly piece unique expensive models are imported, which were not previously supplied to the Russian market. To import a large lot of mass and the most popular foreign cars, it is necessary to eliminate the difficulties with logistics, customs clearance of imported cars, otherwise their delivery will not be profitable for both the dealer and the end buyer.
