In Russia there are about 25 different networks of charging stations for electric vehicles

At the beginning of December 2022, there were about 25 different networks of charging stations in Russia, while only 5 of them were able to overcome the milestone of 50 stations. Such data in an interview to the agency "AUTOSTAT" was given by the managing director of the company PUNKT E Konstantin Alyabyev. He also noted that not all of these 25 participants continue to develop, some managed to freeze projects, having encountered technical difficulties during the operation phase.

As a result, Russia is far behind the leading countries by about 5-7 years in terms of the number and density of electric station networks. However, there is also a positive point: in 2022, due to the multiple growth of infrastructure, basic coverage of electric station was provided in most large cities of the Russian Federation and some interregional directions.

In an interview, Konstantin also spoke about the difficulties that owners of electric station networks face in our country, how exactly the state helps in the development of charging infrastructure, what is needed to install a station in an apartment building and how much it costs, why it is undesirable to charge a car from a household outlet.
