Experts spoke about the results of the automotive industry in November

According to JSC "PPK"*, in November of 2022, 33.3 thousand cars were produced at the plants of the EAEU for the domestic market of Russia. In compare with the same month of the previous year, this is 58% less. AVTOVAZ (produced 23.1 thousand cars in November), Tula plant Haval (4.3 thousand units), the Belarusian "BelGee" (2.8 thousand units), UAZ (2 thousand units), Lipetsk "Motorinvest" (0.5 thousand units) are in the top-five of enterprises-leaders.

What models are leading in production? The TOP-5 included LADA Granta (15.1 thousand units), LADA Niva Travel (4.2 thousand units), LADA Niva Legend (3.8 thousand units), Geely Coolray (2.2 thousand units) and Haval F7 (1.9 thousand units) in November. So far, the situation does not cause optimism, the director of the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT" Sergei Tselikov stated: "There is no auto industry, which has been built in recent years. The entire auto industry, represented by clusters in Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod, Yelabuga and others, has ceased to exist. The main question is: how are we going to revive all this? Today there are more questions than answers ... ".

Serious changes took place in the structure of production along with the closure of a number of enterprises. Experts have calculated that in the structure of the passenger car industry in November, station wagons are leading by body type (almost all SUVs belong to this segment) with a share of 52%. Sedans had 32%, hatchbacks - 14%, pickups and liftbacks - 1%. As for the type of fuel, 98.2% of the produced passenger cars are gasoline, 1.5% are electric, and 0.3% are diesel.
