Ministry of Industry and Trade predicts an increase in sales of new cars in Russia in 2023 in compare with the current year. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, by noting that the situation in the Russian car market will improve due to an increase in the production at basic enterprises such as AVTOVAZ, the newly appeared Moskvich, as well as the Haval plant. At the same time, the ministry clarified that they keep the same forecast for the car market (all categories) for 2023: a drop in sales by 55% to 750 thousand cars. Recall that the basic forecast of the agency "AUTOSTAT" is focused on the market volume of about 630-640 thousand cars.
