Belarusian car market continued its recovery in November

The Belarusian car market in November was over 770 cars, which is 70% higher than in the previous month. At the same time, this result became possible only thanks to the Geely brand, which sold a record 626 cars since the beginning of the year, while sales of other brands officially supplied to the republic have practically disappeared. Thus, in compare with the previous year, the sale of cars imported to Belarus fell 20 times, according to the Belarusian Automobile Association (BAA).

According to the results of 11 months of 2022, sales of new passenger cars in this republic were about 13,360 units. Since the beginning of the year, LADA has been the leader of the automotive market in Belarus, having sold 3,698 cars, but Geely has almost caught up with the Russian brand with 3,197 sold cars.

According to the BAA, there is a gradual but significant reduction in the supply of cars in a more budget segment in compare with the beginning of the year, which is one of the key factors in the decline in sales. Given the high growth in prices for new cars in compare with 2021, an attractive loan and leasing offer is needed to stimulate buying activity.
