Chinese trucks became the leaders in the Russian market in November

According to the results of November 2022, Chinese trucks became the most popular trucks in Russia, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency reported with a reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *. Moreover, if we take into account only the monthly statistics, then it happened for the first time. Thus, in the last autumn month, 3,646 new trucks of Chinese brands were purchased in our country, which is 45.6% of the total. They were slightly behind the products of domestic brands, which were sold in amount of 3496 units (share - 43.7%).

Thus, almost 90% of the market in November was divided between Chinese and Russian manufacturers of trucks. In third place, with a huge gap behind them, there are Belarusian trucks (437 units; share - 5.5%). Experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" also noted that only Chinese (4.3 times growth by November 2021) and Belarusian (+28%) brands have positive dynamics in the market of new trucks. All the rest, including domestic ones (-16%), show a decline. As a result, the share of “Chinese” more than quadrupled for the year (in November 2021 it was 10.7%).

For Belarusian trucks, this indicator also increased (it was 4.3%), while for Russian trucks, on the contrary, it decreased (it was 52.1%). Recall that in the last month of autumn of this year, 7,996 new trucks were purchased in Russia, which is 0.5% higher than in January-November of 2021.
