Russian market of new LCVs fell by 48% in November


At the end of November 2022, the market volume of new light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Russia was 6,352 units, which is 47.6% lower than in the same month of the previous year. At the same time, in compare with October, the LCV market grew by 23.3%, the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" reported with the reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

Experts also noted that 84% of this amount belonged to three domestic brands, and more than a half (51.8%) is presented by products of the Gorky Automobile Plant. Thus, in November, 3,288 new LCVs of the GAZ brand were purchased, which is 45.2% lower than the result of a year ago. Almost a quarter (24.9%) of the total volume was occupied by UAZ (1,581 units; +6.5%), and 7.4% belongs to LADA (468 units; -44.7%).

Among the foreign cars, the best was the American Ford, which accounted for 6.3%. In quantitative terms, this is 400 units. The share of each of the remaining brands was less than 3%. In addition to Ford, the TOP-5 also included Hyundai (134 units). Both brands show a decline: American - by 77.9%, Korean - by 36.5%. For other participants in the LCV market, November figures did not even reach 100 units.

In the model rating, GAZ Gazelle NEXT confidently keeps the leadership, which accounted for 29.5% in November. Thus, 1,872 cars of this family were purchased during the month. Three more domestic models follow - UAZ-3909 (803 units), GAZ 3302 (611 units) and GAZ 2752 (410 units). The top five is finished by Ford Transit (399 units). As for the results of 11 months of 2022, the Russian market volume of new LCVs for this period was 66,785 units. This is also 47.6% lower than in January-November of the previous year.
