AVTOVAZ plans to release a crossover based on LADA Vesta in 2025

AVTOVAZ plans to start the production of a front-wheel drive B+ crossover based on the LADA Vesta platform at the end of 2025. This was stated by the president of the company Maxim Sokolov, by noting that the model will have a high level of localization. According to him, a part of the audience that bought Renault Duster crossover will buy the new Vesta B+ SUV, while the other part will choose Niva Travel. The head of AVTOVAZ added that it is not economically feasible and risky to produce the Duster itself due to sanctions.

Currently AVTOVAZ produces off-road vehicles LADA Niva Legend and Niva Travel. "Niva Travel and Legend cars have their adherents, for whom confidence in the off-road capabilities of the car is very important. Urban crossovers that do not have permanent all-wheel drive have their own audience, and it is for them a crossover based on LADA Vesta is being developed," Igor Bader, general director of Pragmatika LADA, informed AUTOSTAT agency.

According to the CEO of the Fresh Auto marketplace, Denis Migal, the crossover based on LADA Vesta will be in demand among Russians and will be able to compete with Chinese classmates.
