Russians bought 19% more new cars in November than in October

At the end of November 2022, 51,525 new cars were purchased in Russia, which is 19% higher than in October. This is reported by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK" *. Recall that from May to September, the monthly volume of the Russian car market grew from 27,458 to 44,398 units, but in October it fell to 43,308 units. Thus, in the last month of autumn, a recovery trend reappeared. However, if we compare the achieved indicator with the level of a year ago (November 2021), then it will be 49% lower. More than 40% of all new cars purchased in November belonged to the domestic brand LADA, which is 21,107 units.

The Chinese brand Chery (5,537 units) moved up to the second place, the result of which is about 4 times lower than that of the leader. Haval (4,467 units) moved down to the third position. Geely and Kia finished the TOP-5 of the brand rating (3,351 and 3,251 units, respectively). The indicators of other brands were lower than 3 thousand cars. LADA Granta confidently leads in the model rating, its share in November was almost a quarter (24.8%) of the total market volume. So, the last month, Russians bought 12,780 cars of this family.

Further, with a significant lag, another representative of LADA follows - Niva Travel SUV (3,308 units). The best foreign car was Chery Tiggo 7 PRO crossover, the sales of which were 3,192 units in November. The results of other models do not reach 3 thousand units.
