Chevrolet Cobalt sedan returned to the Russian market

Russian dealers have begun the sales of Uzbek-made Chevrolet Cobalt sedan, which, after the departure of Chevrolet mass models from our country, is now supplied under the parallel import scheme. The 2022 model is offered in two trim levels - LT and LTZ - at prices ranging from 1 million 050 thousand rubles to 1 million 499 thousand rubles. Under the bonnet of the car there is a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 106 hp, which works in combination with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 6-band "automatic".

The basic equipment of the Chevrolet Cobalt includes 14-inch wheels, two airbags, power rear-view mirrors, as well as fog lights, air conditioning and heated front seats. The LTZ version, in particular, features by 15-inch wheels. Recall that in March of 2022, UzAuto Motors stopped the deliveries of mass-produced Chevrolet models to Russia in order not to fall under US sanctions. In our country, Chevrolet Spark, Nexia and Cobalt were officially presented, which were supplied from factories in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, UzAuto Motors will stop the production of Chevrolet Spark subcompact hatchback and Chevrolet Nexia sedan by the end of 2022. This decision is explained by the fact that the company is gradually transferring its capacities to new models on the GM GEM platform. They are the Chevrolet Tracker compact crossover and the Chevrolet Onix sedan.
