AVTOVAZ is going to occupy a half of the Russian car market in 2023

AVTOVAZ forecasts the Russian passenger car and LCV market in 2023 at the level of 800 thousand units, according to the base scenario. This was announced by the president of the company Maxim Sokolov, by noting that with such a market volume, AVTOVAZ plans to produce 400 thousand LADA cars and take a share of 50%. This year, according to AVTOVAZ's earlier announced forecast, the Russian car market will be 670-700 thousand cars. According to the head of AVTOVAZ, in November of 2022, sales of LADA cars in Russia, according to preliminary estimates, were about 21.5 thousand units.

According to previously published data, this is 12.3% higher than the results of October, but 15.9% lower than it was in November of last year. In addition, Mr. Sokolov said that the investment program of AVTOVAZ for 2023 is planned at a level of just under 40 billion rubles, which is 2 times higher than the amount laid down for the current year. Recall that in early June AVTOVAZ resumed the production of a simplified LADA Granta, in mid-July a three-door SUV LADA Niva Legend in a special configuration returned to the assembly line, and a month later the production of Niva Travel model was resumed.

In March of the next year, the production of the updated LADA Vesta will resume, and its production will be transferred from LADA Izhevsk enterprise to the main AVTOVAZ site in Togliatti - to line B0. In addition, LADA Largus station wagon should return to service in 2023. But AVTOVAZ decided to abandon the production of LADA XRAY hatchback due to its heavy dependence on foreign components.
