Media: prices for LADA cars in Kazakhstan were lower than in Russia

AVTOVAZ dealers sell LADA cars in Kazakhstan cheaper than in Russia. According to the Vedomosti newspaper citing its sources, the difference in prices is due to the fact that LADA cars, which are now sold in Kazakhstan, were assembled from car kits imported to the republic at a weaker ruble. Experts believe that the scarcity of cars contributes to overpricing in the domestic market. So, for example, in Kazakhstan, the LADA Granta sedan with a 1.6-liter engine with 90 hp and a manual transmission in the basic configuration, when converted into Russian currency, will cost at least 635.7 thousand rubles. The same LADA Granta in Russia is offered from 678.3 thousand rubles, excluding state support. In Kazakhstan, LADA Niva Travel SUV in the basic version costs from 947.7 thousand rubles, and in Russia you will have to pay 998.9 thousand rubles for such a car.

According to the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB), in October Kazakhstan dealers of AVTOVAZ sold 299 cars, which is 70.5% lower than a year before. According to the results of ten months of 2022, sales of LADA cars were 7,004 units, which is 4.9% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year. It should be noted that since the beginning of the year 4,872 LADA cars have been produced at Kostanay Saryarka AvtoProm.
