St. Petersburg plant Nissan became the property of NAMI

FSUE "NAMI" became the owner of 100% of Nissan's assets in Russia (under the control of the legal entity "Nissan Manufacturing Rus"). According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the relevant changes were made to the constituent documents on November 23rd. Recall that on October 11th, Nissan's executive committee approved the sale of its Russian assets to FSUE NAMI, subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The deal involves the sale of 100% of Nissan's assets in Russia (managed by the legal entity Nissan Manufacturing Rus) to NAMI for the implementation of future passenger car production projects. The transferred business, including Nissan's production and research centers in St. Petersburg, as well as the sales and marketing center in Moscow, will operate under the new name. As a part of the agreements, AVTOVAZ will take on the tasks of warranty and after-sales service for Nissan cars in the Russian market, as well as the supply of spare parts to the dealer network of the Japanese brand.

According to Sergey Novoselsky, Marketing and IT Director of the Petrovsky Group, Nissan has been striving to keep its business in Russia for quite a long time, but the reasons for the decision to leave are clear. It is based on a policy that, no matter how hard business tries to bypass it, inevitably affects the economy. The impossibility of building normal logistics, importing components, spare parts and finished cars due to sanctions - all this affects the decision to do or not to do business in Russia. In addition, Nissan is a part of alliance, one of its members has already left our country, so Nissan's departure was only a matter of time.
