New Duster appeared at Russian dealers under the Dacia brand

Russian dealers have started the sales of Dacia Duster crossovers supplied under the parallel import scheme. The cost of the 2022 model is from 2 million rubles. The crossover is offered with a 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 115 hp, which works in conjunction with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. The most equipped package (2.3 million rubles) includes climate control, four cameras, eight airbags, cruise control, keyless entry, blind spot monitoring sensors, LED running lights and other options. Recall that in Russia, Duster crossover until the spring of this year was produced under the Renault brand (owns the Romanian plant Dacia).

The Dacia variant differs from the Russian version of the Duster only in the design of the front optics and the radiator grille, and the technical component of the cars is identical - both models are based on the B0 platform and have the same aggregate base. As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", on May 16th, agreements were signed on the transfer of Russian assets of the Renault Group to state ownership. As a result of the transactions, the shares in the assets will be distributed as follows: 100% of the shares of CJSC Renault Russia were transferred to the Moscow government, 67.69% of the shares of AVTOVAZ became the property of the Russian Federation represented by FSUE NAMI, subordinated to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

The remaining shares of AVTOVAZ were kept by Rostech. An important condition is the option for Renault to repurchase its stake in AVTOVAZ, which can be exercised within the next 6 years.
