AvtoVAZ assembled the first test LADA Vesta NG

AvtoVAZ produced a test assembly of the first LADA Vesta NG car. On this vehicle, the correct operation of the transferred equipment, technologies, as well as the readiness of the necessary processes, was checked. The car will not leave the assembly site and will continue to be used only for personnel training, the press service of the automaker reports. In the coming months, AVTOVAZ will continue the processes of preparing for the serial production of LADA Vesta NG, setting up equipment, organizing production and logistics schemes. The start of production of LADA Vesta NG is scheduled for early spring 2023.

According to the industrial strategy of AVTOVAZ, adopted in August 2022, the transfer of LADA Vesta production to the Togliatti site is carried out in order to ensure the loading of AVTOVAZ capacities and ensure the production rate of the model, which is sufficient to meet the demand. When transferring technologies from Izhevsk to Togliatti, a high level of quality and safety of the car is maintained.

According to the results of ten months of 2022, 30,389 LADA Vesta cars were purchased in Russia, which is 67.9% lower than in the same period of the previous year. As a result, the flagship model of AVTOVAZ took the second place in the rating of the most popular cars in Russia after LADA Granta, the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" reported with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.
