New CEO of Nokian Tiers plant in Vsevolozhsk was appointed

Petr Zolotarev has been appointed General Director of Nokian Tyers LLC (manages a tire plant in Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Region) and Nokian Tire LLC (is engaged in the sale of tires). In this position, he replaced Andrey Pantyukhov, who had worked at the Finnish tire concern Nokian Tires since 2004. Petr Zolotarev in 1999 - 2004 held various senior positions at Yukos-Moscow LLC, from 2005 to 2007. He headed JSC Russian Machines. In 2007 - 2009 - he was the general director of JSC "Amtel-Vredestein", in 2010 – 2011 he was General Director of LLC Management Company "Rosvodokanal". In 2016, he moved to the position of Senior Vice President at Vnesheconombank, and from 2017 to 2018 he was the vice chairman of the bank.

Recall that in June 2022, the Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian Tires decided to curtail its business in Russia, and at the end of October it became known that the company was selling Russian assets, including a plant in the city of Vsevolozhsk, Leningrad Region, to Tatneft. The parties have signed a relevant agreement, the cost of the transaction is expected to be around 400 million euros and may be adjusted depending on a number of factors. The participants do not predict the terms of the closing of the transaction. According to Nokian Tires, the cessation of tire supplies from Russia will negatively affect the company's sales, especially in Central European countries, in the next 2-3 years.

To reduce the impact of this factor, Nokian Tires is expanding its production capacity in Finland and the US, and is also investing 650 million euros in the construction of a new car tire plant in Romania. The production capacity of the Nokian Tires plant in Vsevolozhsk is 16 million tires per year. At the same time, the share of exports was more than 60% of the total production of the Russian plant.
