According to Aleksey Starikov, Deputy General Director of Sales of New Cars of AVILON AG, it is difficult to predict accurately how much the Russian car market will sag, since sales statistics will be affected by parallel imports, which cannot be estimated yet. "Nevertheless, based on the current situation, it is clear that until the end of the year we will continue to see a shortage of cars and a drop in sales. There are no new trends in the market yet," he added.

According to Denis Reshetnikov, the head of the dealership of the Fresh Auto automotive marketplace, while the negative dynamics of sales persists in the Russian car market and may cause a reduction in sales of new cars down to 50% by the end of 2022, especially in the event of an increase in sanctions, a deterioration in the economic situation and real incomes Russians, as well as logistics with the supply of components and new cars. "At the same time, we understand that in the first quarter of 2023, the scenario of 2022 is hardly possible. Here it is more important to understand what automakers are planning.
