Official dealers of Toyota have started sales of the seven-seater Toyota Rush SUV assembled in Indonesia, which is supplied to our country under the parallel import scheme. Initially, this model was intended only for the Southeast Asian market, where the Rush competes with the Mitsubishi XPander. Unlike the XPander, which has a traditional passenger car design, Toyota Rush is a rear-wheel drive frame car with a continuous drive axle. Under the bonnet of the crossvan there is a 1.5-liter engine with 104 hp, which works in combination with a four-speed automatic.

The vehicle is equipped with four airbags, single-zone climate control, heated front seats, LED headlights and rear parking sensors. The price of Toyota Rush is from 2 million 350 thousand rubles to 2 million 500 thousand rubles. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Toyota Motor company announced the closure of the plant in St. Petersburg due to the impossibility of regular deliveries of the necessary components.

In the future, the enterprise will be mothballed, and at present the government of St. Petersburg, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, are working out possible scenarios for the development of this production site. At the same time, the operating activities of the Moscow office of Toyota Motor will be optimized and restructured with a focus on supporting the dealer network to continue after-sales service for Toyota and Lexus cars in Russia.
