New truck market fell by 21% in October

For the whole October of this year, 7,026 new trucks were purchased in Russia, which is 21.2% lower than in October of 2021. If we compare the result with the September one, then the market decline is only 3%. This is reported by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

36% of all purchased trucks in October belonged to the domestic brand KAMAZ, which is equivalent to 2,528 units (-15.3% in compare with October of the previous year). Then there are three manufacturers from China at once in the brand rating - Shacman / Shaanxi (890 units; growth by 2.1 times), SITRAK (736 units) and FAW (638 units; growth by 3.8 times). The TOP-5 is finished by the Russian GAZ (386 units; -49.5%). The share of each of the remaining brands was less than 5%.

The leadership in the model rating also belongs to the products of the Kama Automobile Plant, namely KAMAZ 43118 (819 units). In second place there is SITRAK C7H (736 units). In addition to them, the top five included KAMAZ 65115 (646 units), FAW CA3310 (557 units) and Shacman/Shaanxi SX3258 (329 units). According to the results of 10 months of 2022, the Russian market volume of new trucks was 65,691 units, which is 19.4% lower than in January-October of the previous year.
