Among all Russian regions, the growth of the market of new passenger cars was noted only in the Chukotka Autonomous District, the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" report with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. So, according to the results of 9 months of 2022, residents of Chukotka bought new cars more by 16.7% than in the same period of the previous year.
At the same time, the local car market is the smallest in the country, and its volume in January-September was only 28 units. In all other subjects of the Russian Federation, the market of new passenger cars is falling. The car market fell the most in the Kaliningrad region - by 66.2%. Moreover, in 41 regions the market decline turned out to be deeper than in the whole country (-59.2%). And among those there were the Moscow region and St. Petersburg (-61.3% and -60.4%, respectively), which are among the three largest car markets in our country. In Moscow, the situation is a little "better" - the fall was 55%.
