The production of passenger cars fell by 66% in September of 2022

According to Rosstat, for the first nine months of 2022, 349,000 cars rolled off Russian assembly lines, which is 65.9% lower than in the same period of the previous year. Meanwhile, 24,000 cars were produced in September, which is 77.4% lower than a year before. It should be noted that at the end of September, Motorinvest plant in the Lipetsk region began the mass production of Evolute electric vehicles. In addition, Avtotor Kaliningrad completed the assembly of Hyundai and Kia cars from the available stocks of components.

Thus, today AVTOVAZ, UAZ and Tula plant Haval continue to operate, while the conveyors of other enterprises remain idle due to sanctions restrictions or a shortage of components due to a break in supply chains because of the situation in Ukraine. In particular, Toyota Motor Company announced the closure of a plant in St. Petersburg due to the impossibility of the rhythmic supply of the necessary components. The production of trucks in January-September was 103 thousand units, which is 20.4% lower than the figure for the same period of the previous year. In September, 11.3 thousand trucks left the Russian conveyors, which is 33.8% lower than a year before.

It should be noted that KAMAZ reduced the production by 10.4% in the first autumn month, by producing 3,645 trucks.
