Sedan Volkswagen Bora became available in Russia

Moscow Volkswagen dealer has begun the accepting of orders for a pre-reform Chinese-made Bora sedan, although this year the four-door has undergone a restyling. Apparently, a batch of 295 cars was delivered from China under the parallel import scheme, as this model was not previously presented in our country, and Volkswagen officially suspended its activities in the Russian market since March of this year.

According to the Kolesa.ru portal, the current, fourth-generation Volkswagen Bora sedan, introduced in China in 2018, is built on the MQB platform and is produced at the FAW Volkswagen JV plant. The model is offered to Russian buyers with aspirated 1.5 petrol (113 hp) in combination with a classic 6-speed automatic, as well as a 1.4 turbo four (150 hp), which is paired with 7DSG. But there is no choice of trim levels - the Volkswagen Bora sedan is offered in the only Elite version, which includes LED optics, 16-inch wheels, fog lights, a "leather" interior, a sunroof, heated exterior mirrors, front and side airbags, air curtains, ESC, climate control, multimedia system with an 8-inch screen, cruise control. The price of Volkswagen Bora sedan with an aspirator is 2 million 490 thousand rubles, and with a turbo engine - 2 million 590 thousand rubles.

As AUTOSTAT previously reported, Volkswagen presented a new Polo Sedan, which is intended for the South African market and exported to this country from India. The novelty is a slightly redesigned version of the Volkswagen Virtus model. In Russia, Volkswagen Polo, after a generational change in 2020, has turned into a liftback. However, in March, its production at the company's plant in Kaluga was suspended, and today Volkswagen is considering the possibility of selling this enterprise.
