There were sold 22,000 cars under preferential car loans

As a part of the state program of preferential car loans, which was launched in mid-July 2022, about 22,000 vehicles were sold as of early October. This was announced in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, by adding that the volume of provided discounts was about 4.1 billion rubles, and the total budget of the preferential car loan program in 2022 is 9.7 billion rubles. According to the terms of the preferential car loan program, the discount subsidized from the federal budget is up to 20% of the cost of the car, and for cars sold in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District - 25% to compensate for the cost of delivering cars from the European part of Russia.

All UAZ, LADA, GAZ models, as well as the Chinese crossover Haval Jolion worth up to 2 million rubles, as well as all Evolute brand electric vehicles manufactured at the Motorinvest plant in Lipetsk, which are subject to an increased discount of 35% of the cost of the car, participate in the preferential car loan programs, but not more than 925 thousand rubles. The offer is available to families with at least one minor child, doctors and teachers, as well as drivers buying a vehicle for the first time. In addition, the conditions apply to those who trade-in a car older than six years, provided that they have owned it for at least a year.

"The preferential car loan program has always been in demand. But with a shortage of supply, it will only further increase the disproportion between supply and demand. Nevertheless, if it is possible to take advantage of buying a car under a preferential program, then it is worth to use it," says Vitaly Kostyukevich, Director of the Retail Products Department of Absolut Bank. Alexander Potapov, deputy leader of the Otkritie Avto finance tribe, also believes that if a buyer is considering buying a car that falls under a subsidy, then it is definitely worth making a purchase this year before the end of the program.
