    Experts of the analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" in the framework of the new research "AUTOSTAT OMNIBUS - 2018. Car tires: car owners' preferences" conducted a survey on the choice and operation of winter tires. The results of a survey that was conducted in November showed that 94.2% of respondents “change” their tires for the winter ones and only 5.8% do not have a second set of tires.

In November the Russian auto market decreased 16 percent

According to the estimation of the analytical department of AUTOSTAT in November 192,000 new passenger cars were sold on the Russian market, down 15.9 percent from November of last year (228,200 units). Compared to October of 2008 (230,300 units) the Russian auto market lost 16.6 percent. Totally for 11 months of this year the sales volume of new cars on the Russian market was 2 million 564,000 units, up 18.3 percent from the same period of last year. In 2008 the analysts expect the growth of the Russian market at the level of 16 percent up to 2.8 million units.
The experts remark that nowadays the financial crisis affects the sales of new foreign cars most of all. Thus, for two last months the share of the Russian cars on the domestic market has increased from 25.2 percent to 28.9 percent but the share of foreign cars has correspondingly decreased from 74.8 percent to 71.1 percent. In November only Toyota from representatives of top ten could increase sales 23 percent. Sales of two brands from top ten in November turned out to be lower twice than last year"s - the sales volume of Mitsubishi decreased 51 percent and Daewoos sales fell exactly 50 percent down. The sales decline of some other brands is also very impressive: Volvo - down 39 %, Hyundai - down 36 %, Renault - down 32 %, Nissan - down 31 % and Kia - down 29 %.
