According to the results of September 2022, 23,455 new crossovers and SUVs were purchased in Russia, which is 52.8% of the total volume of the passenger car market, experts of the AUTOSTAT agency report with reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*. Thus, the market share of the SUV segment again exceeded 50%. Recall that in August this figure fell below this mark for the first time in a year, reaching 49.5%.
Now it has returned to its previous level, which is largely due to an increase in sales of LADA Niva Legend SUVs and the resumption of sales of the LADA Niva Travel model. Do not forget about the growing popularity of the "Chinese" that almost in full force play in the SUV segment. Along with this, we note the B-class cars, which accounted for 38.9% in September. Despite the decline (in August it was 41.4%), in total the SUV and B segments have more than 90% of the Russian market for the second month in a row.
