Aurus introduced the Komendant crossover: the price is known

Aurus company has introduced the production version of the Komendant crossover, which is already available for order at dealers and will go on sale in the first quarter of 2023. The price of the novelty is 33.7 million rubles, that is, almost 3 million less than the starting price tag of the Aurus Senat sedan (36.6 million rubles).

According to the Autonews.ru portal, the Komendant and Senat cars are technically unified as much as possible: they share a common EMP modular platform and a power plant consisting of a 4.4-liter V8 engine with a capacity of 598 hp and a 9-speed "automatic" KATE with a built-in 63-horsepower electric motor. The drive in both cases is full, but the crossover, unlike the sedan, has an air suspension that changes stiffness depending on the selected driving mode, and the ground clearance varies from 200 to 260 mm.

In terms of dimensions, Komendant turned out to be the most compact in the Aurus line. The length of the crossover is 5380 mm, the wheelbase is 3100 mm, which is 252 and 200 mm less than that of the Senat. However, the height of the Komendant predictably surpasses the sedan by 131 mm - this parameter is 1820 mm. Acceleration to 100 km / h of a crossover with a curb weight of 3235 kg takes 6.5 seconds, and a top speed reaches 220 km / h.

In terms of interior design, the crossover is also as close as possible to the sedan, seven design options are available, including two-tone ones, and the back row can be either a regular triple or a “captain’s” one, with two separate seats. In addition, the manufacturer promises a wide program of individualization, which can significantly affect the final cost.

Serial production of Aurus Komendant crossover will be carried out at the Yelabuga plant, where the Senat executive sedan has been produced since May of 2021. About 2 billion rubles were invested in the production, logistics and IT equipment and systems of the enterprise. Production capacities are designed to produce up to 5 thousand cars per a year.
