The flagship crossover of the Chinese startup Xpeng called G9 entered the Chinese market. The first deliveries of new items to customers will begin before the end of the year, and the closest competitors of the Xpeng G9 in China will be electric vehicles of a similar class, for example, the Nio ES7.
According to Chinese Cars, the Xpeng G9 is an all-electric midsize crossover. Its design follows the company's latest design language with the signature X Robo Face. It is characterized by simple lines and a traditional body shape. G9 has the retractable door handles, and a wide LED strip is located at the rear of the car. Dimensions of Xpeng G9 are 4891 x 1937 x 1680 mm with a wheelbase of 2998 mm.
The Xpeng G9 salon received three monitors at once, the dashboard diagonal is 10.25 inches, and the main decoration of the center console is a large block of two combined screens. On the central tunnel there are two wireless phone chargers and two cup holders. There are a minimum of physical buttons in the G9 cabin: they are replaced by touch screens and a voice control function. So far, the Xpeng G9 is only available with a 5-seat interior.
As for the power plants, the basic version of the novelty will be available with an electric engine only on the rear axle with a return of 313 hp and 430 Nm. And the all-wheel drive G9 has two electric engines for 551 hp and 717 Nm. It can accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The range of the rear-wheel drive G9 is 570 - 702 km depending on the battery. The all-wheel drive version can travel 650 km.
The starting equipment of the Xpeng G9 with rear-wheel drive and a range of 570 km in China costs 309.9 thousand yuan (2.67 million rubles at the current exchange rate). For a battery with a larger capacity and a power reserve of 702 km, you will have to pay 349.9 thousand yuan (3 million rubles). All-wheel drive G9 starts at 399.9 thousand yuan (3.45 million rubles). And for the maximum version of the crossover, they will ask 469.9 thousand yuan (4 million rubles).
