The most popular Hyundai models in August 2022 became known

According to the results of August, 2,888 Hyundai cars were purchased in Russia, which is 76.1% lower than the previous year. For eight months of 2022, the market volume of the Korean brand was 43,468 cars (-60.2%), experts of the AUTOSTAT agency reported with the reference to the data of JSC "PPK"*.

The most popular Hyundai model in the Russian market in August was the Creta compact crossover with 992 vehicles (-80.8%). The second place was taken by the Hyundai Solaris sedan, which was chosen by 821 buyers (-80.1%). The third result was shown by the Hyundai Tucson crossover - 404 sold cars (-55.9%).

As previously reported by "AUTOSTAT", since March St. Petersburg Hyundai plant has suspended the production of cars for an indefinite period due to a shortage of components. In addition, Hyundai froze the reconstruction project of the former GM plant in Shushary, which it bought at the end of 2020.
