As a part of the preferential car loan and leasing programs, which were launched in mid-July 2022, about 20,000 vehicles have been sold to date. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov during a meeting on the development of the automotive industry in the Federation Council, the TASS agency writes.
According to the terms of the preferential car loan program, the discount subsidized from the federal budget is up to 20% of the cost of the car, and for cars sold in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District - 25% to compensate for the cost of delivering cars from the European part of Russia. All UAZ, LADA, GAZ models worth up to 2 million rubles participate in preferential car loan programs. The offer is available to families with at least one minor child, doctors and teachers, as well as drivers buying a vehicle for the first time. In addition, the conditions apply to those who trade-in a car older than six years, provided that they have owned it for at least a year.
As for the preferential leasing program, the basic discount for it is 10% of the cost of the car, but no more than 500 thousand rubles and applies to all Russian-made cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks of the UAZ, LADA, GAZ, KAMAZ, URAL brands.
Recall that state programs of preferential car loans and leasing were launched in mid-July, their total budget is 20.7 billion rubles. According to the estimations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, by the end of 2022, at least 50,000 cars will be sold under the program of preferential car loans and at least 25.7 thousand cars under preferential leasing.
