Ministry of Industry and Trade intends to extend the state programs of preferential car loans and leasing

Ministry of Industry and Trade is ready to support the demand for domestic cars in 2023-2025, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper. Thus, the authorities intend to allocate 9.8 billion rubles for these programs the next year, 17 billion in 2024 and 19 billion in 2025. According to him, this is fixed in the draft budget for 2023. "Thus, we plan to stimulate the sale of about 190 thousand more cars," Denis Manturov summed up.

Recall that state programs of preferential car loans and leasing were launched in mid-July, their total budget is 20.7 billion rubles. According to the estimations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, by the end of 2022, at least 50,000 cars will be sold under the program of preferential car loans and at least 25.7 thousand cars under preferential leasing.

According to the terms of the preferential car loan program, the discount subsidized from the federal budget will be up to 20% of the cost of the car, and for cars sold in the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District - 25% to compensate for the cost of cars delivering from the European part of Russia. All UAZ, LADA, GAZ models worth up to 2 million rubles, as well as all Evolute electric vehicles manufactured at the Motorinvest plant in Lipetsk, which are subject to an increased discount of 35% from the cost of the car, but not more than 925 thousand rubles. Production of the Evolute electric vehicles will start in September, with the first vehicles going on sale in the same month.

As for the preferential leasing program, the basic discount for it is 10% of the cost of the car, but no more than 500 thousand rubles and will apply to all Russian-made cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks of the UAZ, LADA, GAZ, KAMAZ, URAL brands. The discount for electric vehicles will be also 35%, but no more than 925,000 rubles per electric vehicle.
