Aurus published teasers of the Komendant SUV

The Russian premium car brand Aurus has published teaser images of the production version of the AurusKomendant SUV. In the picture you can see, for example, the optics of the novelty, the radiator grille and the rims. In addition, one of the images shows the interior of a car with a multifunction steering wheel and a digital dashboard. The official premiere of the Aurus Komendant SUV is to take place on September 29th at the Special Purpose Garage Museum of the FSO of Russia at VDNKH. Serial production of new items is scheduled for late November - early December this year at a plant in Tatarstan. Recall that Rosstandart has already issued a Vehicle Type Approval (VTA) for the Russian SUV AurusKomendant.

As follows from the document, the overall length, width, height of the Aurus Komendant are 5380, 2004 and 1820 mm, respectively, the wheelbase is 3100 mm, the track of the front and rear wheels are 1700 mm. The layout of the cabin is only four-seater, two-row (others are not provided). In the back row – there are individual chairs of increased comfort. One modification of the model is registered in VTA - with permanent all-wheel drive. Its curb weight is 3235 kg, full weight is 3495 kg. The wheelbase of the "Komendant" is 200 mm shorter than that of the serial Senat executive sedan, but otherwise it is unified with it in terms of chassis. This means that the design has several motion presets, incl. Auto, Sport, Comfort and Allroad.

The ground clearance of the crossover is 200 mm. It is assumed that the Komendant all-wheel drive SUV will be equipped with the same hybrid power plant (598 hp), which consists of a 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine, an electric engine, a battery and a 9-speed automatic transmission. As AUTOSTAT previously reported, in May 2021, the Aurus Company began the mass production of Aurus cars at a plant in Yelabuga.
