More than 100 thousand foreign cars were imported through Vladivostok since the beginning of the year

According to the results of eight months of 2022, over 100 thousand cars for personal use were imported through the customs of Vladivostok, which is 43% higher than the figure for the same period of the previous year. This was announced by a representative of Vladivostok customs, by noting that since the beginning of the year, most imported cars were in August. Last year, in August, customs cleared 10.7 thousand foreign cars, this year - over 21.5 thousand.

According to Mr. Reshetnikov, Head of the Dealership Department of the Fresh Auto dealership network, the lack of new cars from dealers and the increase in the cost of used cars by 3.5% in July became drivers for the growth of self-importation of foreign cars from abroad among Russians. Demand for used imported foreign cars is growing due to the more affordable cost of cars abroad and, of course, a wider range.
