The experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" calculated the capacity of the Russian market of new passenger cars in the 1st half of 2022. This indicator was 775.8 billion rubles, which is 2 times lower than in January-June of the previous year (1,530 billion rubles). In fact, this is the money that the inhabitants of our country spent on the purchase of new cars. They spent most of their money on new passenger cars of the Korean brand Kia - 87.6 billion rubles. The second place is occupied by Hyundai products (71.5 billion rubles). A slightly lower result is belonged to the domestic LADA (71.1 billion rubles), which occupies the third place of our rating. Toyota (68.5 billion rubles), BMW (64.8 billion rubles), Mercedes-Benz (57.7 billion rubles), Renault (40.5 billion rubles) are the next. Over 30 billion rubles was the market capacity of the brands Nissan (31.7 billion rubles) and Volkswagen (30.4 billion rubles). And the Chinese Haval finishes the top ten in terms of market capacity in the 1st half of the year with a result of 26.8 billion rubles.

At the same time, the Russian brand LADA has the lowest weighted average price in the TOP-10 (just over 1 million rubles). And the highest one belongs to the German premium brand BMW (7.2 million rubles). Experts note that in comparison with the previous year's results, ten brands have seen a drop in the market capacity, and for the majority it has decreased by almost a half. The situation is worse than others for Volkswagen (-65.3%), and the best of all is for Haval (-7.8%).
