The Russian car market is growing the second week in a row

In the fourth week of August 2022, 13,100 units of new vehicles were purchased in Russia. According to the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", by the results of processing and analysis of the relevant data of JSC "Electronic Passport", this is 4% higher than for the previous, third, week. Thus, the Russian car market has been growing for the second week in a row. Almost 77% of the total amount belonged to the segment of cars - from August 22 to August 28, residents of the Russian Federation purchased them in the amount of 10,039 units.

This is 2% higher than a week earlier (from August 15th to 21st). Market volumes increased in other three segments as well. Thus, the market of new trucks increased by 5% in compare with the third week of August - up to 1637 units. The market of light commercial vehicles (LCVs) increased by 2%, with a circulation of 1,106 units. The largest market growth was shown by the bus segment – by 84% to 318 units.
