Most often, in July 2022, Moscow residents bought LADA cars. This fact was discovered by the experts of the agency "AUTOSTAT", having processed and analyzed the data of JSC "Electronic Passport" on the market of new passenger cars. Experts also note that the domestic brand has become the leader of the capital's car market for the first time for 13 years - the last time it was in July 2009. This time, the reasons for the success of LADA were the cessation of deliveries of cars of European and Japanese brands to the Russian Federation due to sanctions and the stoppage of the production of Korean brands at Russian plants due to problems with the logistics of components. Recall that earlier such models were the most popular among Muscovites.

According to the results of July, new LADA cars were bought in Moscow with a circulation of 684 units. The Korean brand Kia (580 units) is the second one, the Chinese Geely is the third one (569 units). Hyundai was only the fourth one in July, with a total of 487 sold cars. Another brand from China, Chery, finished the top-five (474  units). In the model rating, the most popular car in Moscow in July was LADA Vesta - cars of this family were purchased by 393 residents of the Russian capital.

The TOP-5 also included: Geely Coolray (375 units), CheryTiggo 4 (217 units), LADA Granta (179 units) and Haval Jolion (178 units). In total, according to the results of July 2022, 5,078 new cars were purchased in Moscow. This is 74% lower than in July of the previous year.
